Happy first day of spring! It’s time for spring cleaning! I am doing a series of posts next week to help you green your cleaning! Consider this a virtual make and take class. All of the oils I’ll be using can be found in your Premium Starter Kit. Don’t have yours yet? Go get yours here and pin these recipes so you can make them when it arrives.
Really you only need a few inexpensive supplies to clean your whole house. This is one of my favorite ways to be frugal. I love the way these homemade products make my house smell, and I know they won’t hurt the kids or the dog.
Here is what we will be making next week:
Monday - Carpet Deodorizer
Tuesday - All purpose cleaner
Wednesday - Wood Polish
Thursday - DIY Soft Scrub
Friday - Lavender Linen Spray
And here are the ingredients you will need:
Baking soda (I get a big bag at Costco for around $5)
Vinegar (Again, giant bottle at Costco for around $5)
Castille soap (You can buy this at most grocery stores these days, but I watch for deals on Amazon and stock up)
Olive oil
Vodka (you decide what size bottle ;) )
Essential oils - lemon, lavender, melaleuca, thieves, or any of your favorites
You’ll also need containers:
Some sort of shaker jar like you would use for parmesan cheese. I save my empties, but you can buy one at the dollar store.
Three empty spray bottles, glass if possible. Check out this post to learn how to make a glass one out of items you probably have on hand.
A squeezable container of some sort. I re-use an empty dish soap container, but there are also some small water bottles that work well for this purpose
So gather your supplies and meet here on Monday for the first recipe! Have a great weekend!
