This is a really fun and easy project and the shirts turn out very cool!

Spray Tie Dye T-shirts

  • Clean white T-Shirt – preshrunk

  • Collection of Permanent Markers

  • Rubbing Alcohol

  • Spray Bottle

Place a piece of cardboard in the middle of the t-shirt to keep the markers from bleeding through onto the back of the shirt, or worse, your table. Have the kids make their own designs on the shirts using the markers. Abstract work best - things like swirls and spirals. Once you are happy with the design, fill a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol and spray the design. The design will bleed creating a tie dyed look. Once the shirt air dries, you might want to cover with an old towel (to prevent bleeding) and iron to set the colors before washing for the first time.

We would love to see pictures of your creations on our Facebook page! Head over and share!
